The only downside is the 1 mile trek up the mountain on a steep gravel and poorly maintained road. We have a pickup truck and even with that the ruts were rough. If you have an SUV with four-wheel drive you’d be fine. I don’t think a standard car could make it. Once down the mountain (7 minutes) it is a short 11 minutes into Elijay, a cute town with shops and restaurants. 25 minutes (total) to downtown Blue Ridge. Jen and Jack were great hosts.
