My daughter caught a few bream at the fishing lake on the resort. A trip to Amicalola Falls was a short drive, and downtown Ellijay was 15 minutes away for shops and treats. The roads to the cabin were quite steep and narrow and many deer so would not suggest arriving after dark, but our late afternoon check-in went just fine." A few things to note - the gate to the community doesn’t have a code you have to call in and speak to an attendant every time you need to enter. We couldn’t get an answer on if those gate people were available 24/7 so we tried to be back early every day. The indoor pool is also about a 20 minute drive from the cabin. And the river is walkable but when you get down there you will be greeted with several “no trespassing signs.”
Lastly, for what we paid it would have been nice to see the cabin get a deep cleaning every so often. The linens and kitchen and appliances were all fine but there was dust all over the doors, window frames etc. When we opened the windows our hands would get all sticky from grime."
